Planned Parenthood–the nation’s leading provider of abortions–has been publicly exposed for attempts to sell body parts from aborted babies. The reprehensible nature of this act cannot be overstated.
What is even more reprehensible, however, is that is that fetal tissue transactions—where money is exchanged for body parts—are legal under current federal law 42 U.S. Code § 289g–2.
Here is the official text:
“It shall be unlawful for any person to knowingly acquire, receive, or otherwise transfer any human fetal tissue for valuable consideration if the transfer affects interstate commerce.”
What this means is that if the body parts are labeled as “reimbursements” for handling and processing rather than “sales for profit,” and as long as the transaction does not cross state lines, this kind of transaction is legally permissible.
This kind of disdain for our most defenseless neighbors has gone on long enough. It is time for Christians to take action and end the murdering and exploitation of our preborn neighbors.
